Lucille Fought Her Own War Against the Patriarchy

Lucille Wilkes, the lead character in Forbidden Woman, is very real to me, so I created this image of her using AI. I wanted to share what I always imagined her to be: strong, mesmerizingly beautiful, unafraid.

As Lucille herself would say:

When a Brave Soldier goes to war, he is not alone. He carries a weapon. He carries food. Water. He even has an entire unit of others waiting just fifty yards away to pull him to safety, to provide cover, or, God forbid, to honor his death. Dead or alive, the Soldier knows he will return home a Hero.

But when Woman goes to war, She goes alone. She carries no weapon. No food. And all her money is in the hands of Man. Nobody will rush in to save Woman from the Savagery of which Man is all too capable.

But…Man is afraid of Woman. So afraid that he must restrict her access to Education, Wealth, and Land, and He must regularly degrade Her to deny Her of the most basic of human needs: the need for peaceful rest when She closes her eyes.

One day, Woman will recognize She is, in fact, the Bravest Soldier of all.
